The Night Before

THE NIGHT BEFORE

T’was the night before Christmas and all through the town,
Not a bed was empty, no place could be found.
So out to the stable they made their way,
Mary and Joseph, to lie in the hay.
Mary was with child, the one of Whom it was foretold.
The Messiah from God the world’s sin He would hold.
Forgiveness from Heaven to this earth He did bring,
We call Him our Father, our Lord, and our King.
Redemption from sin, His Blood did buy,
The words “It is finished” were His last breaths cry.
But He rose from the dead on that glorious third day,
And for his wayward children He made a straight way.
So give glory to God, making no room for strife,
For Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Spread the Good News to all who have an ear,
Share the Love of Christ at this festive time of year.
Be strong in the Lord and the strength of His might,
A Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
