After much prayer over 2016 I have come to a decision on the future direction of E-Mail Ministry.
As some of you may be aware, I have been “recycling” the best of the E-Mail Ministry messages over the past few years due to the lack of new messages submitted by subscribers. Also over the past year, I have been receiving a daily inspirational message authored by a longtime family friend, Glenn McDonald.
Glenn McDonald is the Director of Mission Integration for the Ascension Ministry Service Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, a role in which he serves as the workplace pastor for 800 associates in the healthcare industry.
Glenn’s background is as a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister and has 33 years of congregational leadership experience. He has authored seven books on discipleship and spiritual formation, and is part of his denomination’s national teaching team for new church development. Glenn was the organizing pastor of Zionsville Presbyterian Church in suburban Indianapolis.
For the past four years Glenn has been writing an online devotional five days a week called Morning Reflection. Each of these compositions seeks to make the reality of the Good News of Jesus Christ relevant to 21st century readers, whether they be long-time disciples, spiritual inquirers, or ardent skeptics.
E-Mail Ministry has “partnered” with Glenn in that Glenn has agreed to let EMM utilize his Morning Reflections for the EMM messages. I am confident that you will enjoy and grow spiritually by his writings. I appreciate your support with the new direction E-Mail Ministry is taking. As usual, feel free to forward the messages onto others as you feel led by God.
