WHAT’S NEW AT E-MAIL MINISTRY?
A) E-Mail Ministry is continuing to grow thanks to God and you!! These
messages go to the following __ countries:
Australia, Barbados*, Brazil, Belize*, Canada, Dominican
Republic*, Ecuador, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico,
Nicaragua, Russia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines*, Sweden,
Venezuela, United Kingdom*, United States (all states except
UT, & VT) and Zimbabwe*
* = New this month
If you are from a country other than those listed above, please let
me know by sending an e-mail to emailministry@emailministry.org

Only two, count them, two states left in the US without a
subscriber. Someone out there has to be from either Utah or Vermont
– let me know!

There are now 3954 subscribers, an increase of 1250 (46.3%) from
last month.
The web site has received over 5,739 hits to date, an increase of
1,910 (69%) from last month!!

B) Well, thanks to a retired teacher the ‘header’ and ‘footer’ are now
grammatically correct (thanks Mom!!).

C) SPECIAL REQUEST – WEB EXPERT NEEDED
E-Mail Ministry has always been free to any one who wants to
subscribe. However, the costs involved with this ministry grow as
the number of subscribers increase (and I am thankful to God that
the number of subscribers does continue to grow at such a high
rate). In order to recover the costs of this ministry and to keep
it free (which I pledge to do) I need to start investigating the
possibility of adding a few money generating banners to the site.
If any of you understand how web advertising works, please contact
me. I am also interested in adding a ‘guest book’, a bulletin
board and possibly a survey form with automated data processing.
If you have this experience and are interested in helping please
send me an e-mail at emailministry@emailministry.org

D) I have received requests for approval to use the E-Mail Ministry
messages for bible studies, youth groups, sermons, etc. I encourage
you to use the messages in any way the Lord leads you. I do have
one request (and it is an optional request). If you don’t mind, it
would be nice if you put “message distributed by E-Mail Ministry
(https://www.emailministry.org)” at the bottom of any material you
use. That way more people will become aware of this ministry.

E) I had hoped to have the Church Humor web page updated with the new
Pieces have sent to me but I have run out of time in March. I will
work to accomplish the update in April.

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY

A fellow Christian was lead to the E-Mail Ministry site and has made the
following request concerning a wonderful outreach opportunity:

“March 28 2000

Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

My name is Serge Montes. I am a Haitian pastor actually in Boston,
Massachusetts. I am from Pain de Vie Ministries. Pain de Vie is a small
outreach ministry located in Haiti, which offers basic biblical, and
leadership training to Haitian believers who have been called to the
ministry in rural areas of our country. I am returning back to Haiti
very soon, but before I do so, I am hoping, that God will lead us, to a
Ministry or a church here in the US which will be interested in
developing a working partnership with us in Haiti.

My mailing address in the US is:
Serge Borris Montes
PMB 148
215 South Broadway
Salem, NH 03079 – 3332
(978) 683-1909
smontes1@msn.com

I wish to thank you in advance for your consideration and may God bless
your ministry.

In His service,
Serge Montes”

This is a wonderful opportunity and I hope one that you will prayerfully
consider.

THE RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY & MUSEUM

A subscriber sent the following:
At the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley, CA.,
on the desk in a full scale replica of President Reagan’s Oval Office is
a saying from his mother. The saying is: “You can be too big for God to
use but never too small.”

RECEIVED IN A NOTE REQUESTING TO SUBSCRIBE:
“If you’re hoping for heaven and living like hell, you’ve got a
problem.”

A PRAYER

Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now.
I am asking You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.

Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence in Your
ability to work through them.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them
understanding, patience, and strength as they learn submission to Your
leading.

Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by
revealing Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with
You.
Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.
Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over
my friend’s life.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders,
and friends to support, and encourage them.
Give each of them discernment to recognize the evil forces around them,
and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it.
I ask You to do these things in Jesus’ name.

A. S. A. P.

What a wonderful new meaning for ASAP and a great way to start the day.

Always Say A Prayer (A.S.A.P.) There’s work to do, deadlines to meet,
you’ve got no time to spare, but as you hurry and scurry, always say a
prayer. (ASAP)

In the midst of family chaos, “quality time” is rare. Do your best;
let God do the rest: always say a prayer. (ASAP)

It may seem like your worries are more than you can bear. Slow down and
take a breather – always say a prayer. (ASAP)

God knows how stressful life is; He wants to ease our cares, and He’ll
respond a.s.a.p. (ASAP)

ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

TIME AND FRIENDS….

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with
$86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening
deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
What would you do? Draw out ALL OF IT, of course!!!!

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits
you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever
of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no
balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the
remains of the day. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is
yours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow.” You
must live in the present on today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get
from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success! The clock is
running. Make the most of today.

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a
premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly magazine.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to
meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE-SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an
accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver
medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you
shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time.

And remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why
it’s called the present!!!

EIGHT GIFTS THAT DO NOT COST A CENT

1) THE GIFT OF LISTENING…
But you must REALLY listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning
your response. Just listening.

2) THE GIFT OF AFFECTION…
Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and
handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for
family and friends.

3) THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER…
Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, “I
love to laugh with you.”

4) THE GIFT OF A WRITTEN NOTE…
It can be a simple “Thanks for the help” note or a full sonnet. A brief,
handwritten note may be remembered for a lifetime, and may even change a
life.

5) THE GIFT OF A COMPLIMENT…
A simple and sincere, “You look great in red,” “You did a super job” or
“That was a wonderful meal” can make someone’s day.

6) THE GIFT OF A FAVOR…
Every day, go out of your way to do something kind.

7) THE GIFT OF SOLITUDE…
There are times when we want nothing better than to be left alone. Be
sensitive to those times and give the gift of solitude to others.

8) THE GIFT OF A CHEERFUL DISPOSITION…
The easiest way to feel good is to extend a kind word to someone, really
it’s not that hard to say, Hello or Thank You.

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and encourage
you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of praise, and they
always want to open their hearts to us.

FEED THE HUNGRY FOR FREE (and do it every day!):
You can help feed hungry people, at no cost to you, by pointing your
internet browser to http://www.thehungersite.com Click the Donate Free
Food button to bring up a page of corporate sponsors, each of whom
contributes 1/2 cent per click, which translates to 1/4 cup of cooked
food. The food is distributed through the United Nations World Food
Program. Founded by an unnamed “private individual,” the site displays a
map that dims one country every 3.6 seconds, signifying a death from
hunger. Three quarters of those deaths are children under 5. A link has
been placed on the E-Mail Ministry main page and link page to this site
to make it easier for your to click it each day!
“When they finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of
John, do you truly love me more than these?’. ‘Yes, Lord,’ he said,
‘you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, ‘Feed my lambs.'” – John 21, 15
