"Crying Ones" EPH. 6:10 "The fire may burn the Wood" This I read and I burned in Ardor-St. Augustine
Added by Linda St. Amand of on 6/26/2009

Crying ones
Through the pain and sorrow of Christ's experiences on earth, God has experienced the depths of human grief.

You that are called born of God, and Christians, if you be not criers, there is no spiritual life in you; if you be born of God, you are crying ones; as soon as He raised you out of the dark dungeon of sin, you cannot but cry to God.
John Bunyan

"You, O Lord, singularly have settled me in HOPE" This I read, and I burned with ARDOR, but I did not find what I should do for those deaf and dead, among whom I once had been, a diseased thing, a blind and bitter yapper against those writings which are honied over with the honey of heaven, which are luminous with your light. I wasted away because of the enemies of this scripture. Nor will I keep silent concerning the sharpness of your scourge. For I am better accustomed to the Lord's mode of speech. "for we are not the light that enlightens every man, we are enlightened by you. -Confessions of St. Augustine

"The Fruit of PRAYER is FAITH" Mother Teresa of Calcutta >

This Sunday at our Catholic Church, "Blessed Mother Teresa -Catholic Church" our Pastor's sermon was about the "mission" of our faith.

"The Fire may Burn the Wood"

"The Fire may Burn the Wood"
As the season of fires began

The raging fire burned into the forest
some tree's lost life and some tree's fought for life.

What is striking is the burned out wood
The fire may burn the wood
And the dead tree shows no signs of life

But the tree's whose wood may be "blackened"
still shows signs of life springing forth
As the forest world grows dark - the green leaf emits forcibly, because there is a fountain...

There is sustenance in the underground spring...

and this tree, rooted deep had seemed
prepared for the coming darkness

As some tree's have died
As in the world of darkness
some are banished from life

But there is fruit
There is life

For there are those rooted "steadfast"
"The Fruit of Prayer is Faith"

The mission-He has given you great wealth
"make use of it"

So take whatever he gives
and give whatever HE takes with a BIG SMILE

"Many helping hands - make for less work"
-Mother Teresa of Calcutta

"This I read and I burned with ardor"
-Confessions of St. Augustine
