"GET REAL"

The meadow vast
the tall thin grass
mildly swaying in the breeze

My foot steps sink into
the soft ground
walking up over a mound of land

There at the top
of the hill
what a thrill
what a delight!

A rainy season
brought spreads of yellows,
blues violets and whites

Timid delicate sprays flowers
arrayed the hillside
these days in California,
a rare and welcomed sight

I look closer and photograph
tiny flowers adorned
Sprays of colors
a signatured "oil" Monet

These are the days
GOD calls me away
as I stand, inspired
these frail flowers
frolic in the breeze
each design unique,

The great poet;
Whitman writes of man's design
in "Years of the Modern"

Here on this hill
throughout the meadow
for over a million years,
no hands added by "modern" man
created such frail beauty

These frail tiny seedling's
are planted by GOD,
think like "modern" man?
if so,..."GET REAL"

For whatever we neglect,
for not one of these flowers
are leftunattended, yet prepared
for us out of much love they
are never neglected by GOD..

For modern men can say,
"We are punished by a 'frail" baby

In our world "frail" children will be
unwanted, unloved, uncared for,
killed and thrown away....

"When did we see you hungry, or thirsty or sick and did not come
to your help, lord?"
And Jesus will answer them,
"Whatever you neglected to do
unto one of the least of these,
you neglected to do unto me"
